POP ART PRESENT

Even though it’s already Saturday, here is my Friday Progress blog post!

This week I finished a pop art project for my niece, for her birthday.

I used a picture of her, and digitally drew on the color blocking, etc.  It was really fun to make, and I hope to do more pop art in the future.

Next week I plan on doing a lot more sketching, focusing on anatomy, probably using some tutorials by BrushBoost.

See you on Monday!

REDDIT WEDNESDAY #1

I’ve started a new series called “Reddit Wednesday”.  Basically, how it works is that each Wednesday I go to Reddit and find something that’s on the front page or close to the front, and draw it!  These will be basic sketches, so nothing fancy.

BULLY FALLS PREY TO PARENTING

Today’s Reddit Wednesday is about a boy who was being a brat at school and bullying kids on the bus, and what his punishment was.  Apparently he got kicked off the bus, and his dad found out about everything.  The boy’s punishment was that he had to run to school each day, with his dad following behind in the truck.  From what his dad says, this has helped his son with his behavior in school.  The dad also stated that good parenting will help keep kids in line and help stop bullying.

I can’t find the Reddit link, because for some reason I never upvoted it! *grrr*  I searched for it, but can’t find it.

So, click here to see the YouTube video it links to.

Until next time!

SOLDIER 76 SKETCH

One of my recent sketches was of Soldier 76 from Overwatch.  I mostly drew him because he looks cool and I like his hair,  I don’t really play him on Overwatch (although I haven’t played at all in quite a while), but I think I may have played him during a special event.

I used a reference image from the Overwatch Wiki, so I didn’t actually design this myself, I pretty much tried to make it look as much like the reference image as possible.  I plan on using reference photos to help me with my sketches, but I also need to practice drawing people / faces / poses out of my head.

Until next time!
